Peer room
Pricing your first retainer
Bring the retainer you're about to send. Leave with a number you can defend and the scope that goes with it.

About this session
How the room works
A peer room is small on purpose. Six members, one facilitator, and a single question on the table: what should this retainer cost, and what does that price include?
Before the session, you send a short brief with the client, the scope you have in mind and the number you're leaning towards. Maya reads them all so the room starts with context.
The 90 minutes
First 15 minutes. Maya walks through how she priced her own first three retainers, including the one she got wrong.
Next 60 minutes. Each member gets ten focused minutes on their number while the other five question it.
Last 15 minutes. Everyone writes down the price they'll send, and the one sentence that justifies it.
What to bring
A real retainer you plan to send in the next month. Hypothetical ones don't get the same quality of feedback.
Recording
Peer rooms are not recorded. What's said in the room stays in the room.
